★Doki Doki★ - The Manchester Japanese Festival

Hello Everyone!
THIS IS LONG OVERDUE.
So! The Manchester Japanese Festival 'Doki Doki' took place on the 9th of October 2013!
@Sugden Sports Centre

I definitely wanted to go, I informed a friend about the event and luckily enough
she said she also would like to go!
So we went together! It was so much fun!
I also attended in 2011 and that was the first Japanese type of event
I had been to.
But this year they opened it up in to two halls! It was so much bigger
and a lot more spacious! Enough room for me and Tomemon to
set up a camera and dance together!

I wore a Sailor Fuku and a wig which I love, I hardly ever wear it
because it's just too amazing for everyday life haha! ~

[ Heres some pictures of the general space : ~ ]

I only got pictures of the second hall but you can see some of the first hall in my vlog!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlHj4QLCkQg

So much more spacious than last year!  ^ People chilling up on the balcony ~

Gaara! :)

[ Heres some pictures of general things being sold. ]

I loved this stand ~ I have a thing for dolls..

I feel bad that I didn't get more pictures of the stalls...
Sorry artists and dealers !

---

Maid Cafe! They did a little dance, I caught some of it in my vlog -

 People up on the balcony again ~ It was a cool place to chill after being in the craziness below.
Also quite like a stalker balcony. Stalking all the people below D:

AND THATS PRETTY MUCH IT.

OVERALL ~

I think they did an AMAZING job this year. They really thought about how they could improve and
everything felt so much more comfortable than last year. Some points I made about
why Doki Doki is a cool festival :
- More space
- The staff are pretty chill and kind
- The floor plan was a lot more organised in my opinion
- It has a good feel to it, I felt like if I were to do something wrong
they wouldn't shout at me or go mental. It felt like the
staff were there for the same reasons we were there!
To have fun!

Eat Goody - Korean Fusion Cafe ~ 좋은 먹거리!

안녕하세요 -
저는 셸비 입니다!
Hello, I am Shelby!
I am Korea(n) crazy.. I think.
I found a cute cafe today close to my University! Literally round the corner!
It's called Eat Goody and I was so excited when I saw it!
So the entrance is on the side of the building, I almost walked in to the wrong place.
Th entrance looks like this ..
Super cute I know.
(Doesn't take much to please me..
'Easily Impressed trait'
IF YOU KNOW THE REFERANCE ILVU.)

The outside (building) looks like this ~ Kind of rough but cute still. Right next to
Manchester Sugden Sports Centre.

Okay, so I didn't know what to expect but once again I was impressed with
how awesome it was :3
So they have a little bar and couch on the ground floor with the counter.
I ordered Kimchi Bibimbap, it cost me £5.80! I didn't know what to expect ~

So we went to the 'underground' seating area and I was like :o ooooooooo.
The place was quite full (with mostly Koreans)
and ever'body was speaking Korean. Seriously I got a bit too excited.
Not to mention the Kpop but that was expected!
I just loved listening to them speaking (getting a bit creepy here)
I felt like if I went there everyday and spoke my Korean to the waitresses,
then I would basically be practising my Korean.

In the downstairs seating area ~

Following on from speaking Korean ~
I really wanted to reply in Korean like everyone else
but I think that may have seemed a bit odd, even though
I think it's quite polite and respectful!
I could easily use 네, 안녕하세요, 감사합니다, 김치 비빔밥 주세요!
But I'm too scared to use them, can you imagine if they started
talking to me in Korean... my face would literally go
D;

Since the picture I took of my Bibimbap was while I was eating it..
Ill show you different ones I tried.

 Dumpling Curry + Spicy Tuna Bibimbap
The spicy tuna bibimbap has rice, bean sprouts, shredded cabbage
and carrots, fried/shredded tofu?? strips, chilli sauce and spicy tuna!

Another thing I really want to do is make a little flyer
that requested a Korean tutor! :O
Like seriously I might make one and ask them to put
it on the counter! But how much do I pay a tutor....
*Google*

Thanks for reading!
I should be getting a decent camera next term so expect awesome photos
and reviews! :)

HERE WE GO AGAIN

So hi!

There are a lot of things to update! Like my studies and were I'm heading to now.

As of right now, I am working in a Vintage Tea Room, close to were I live. I have been working there for a while now and I am really enjoying being a waitress and somewhat of a barrister! It always makes me think of the drama 'Coffee Prince', that drama actually made me want to become a barrister if all else fails! It's funny how dramas and films can influence you.

Right now Lord of the Rings (2) is on and I can not for the life of me, concentrate.

I am somewhat feeling quite 'down' and sad a lot recently. I think I'm just too stressed out.

Here is an update on my thoughts and feelings :

- I'm going to University in September, I'd obviously prefer to study or work in Korea. However that idea is a bit far-fetched and if I want to actually live there, I'm best of getting a degree first.

- Work stress. It's not the usual work stress, I feel stuck in between and there's a lot of secrecy and I guess 'bitching'. And even though sometimes I accidentally get involved with the bitching, I always regret it and end up feeling really guilty. However I stick to what I believe is right and I fight against what I believe is wrong.

- Work Location? I stay at a friends place as it is right across from my work. If I stayed at home I'd spend a lot of money on travel. However I'm changing my hours and going back home for the weekdays. So I can sort out my room and my things, preparing for university. Also to see my Omma again because I miss her.

-I am eating very unhealthily and it's making me feel bad. I want to get healthy.

- DANCE. I really need to catch up on dance covers because I was ill for quite a while. I really want to upload more because I feel uber bad.

And for now, that is it. I'm definitly going to try and update more, with interesting things because I'm going to University as well! Should be interesting!

Bye FO NOW.

100 Subscribers.

Havne't updated this blog in a while Dx  Sorreh.

So I'm coming to 100 subscribers, and even though it's not a lot, I want to make a sort of victory dance...
So!
I have been looking around and I found a dance I am going to do, it may take some time though, hopefully I want to get to 100 in the next couple of days because I want to make it good :)

Soon after I should be uploading a dance cover but I'm not sure when! :D

So now I'm gonna think abouts it!

Good night as it's quite late now! :)

Dansu To Pantsu Generation 04 Audition! + First Time Outside Recording!

HEEEEYYY!!!
안녕하세요!!!!

So....

I recorded a dance outside for the first time!!
앗싸!
Yaaaay!

It's part of an audition I'm doing for a dance group called Dansu To Pantsu (DtP) Generation 04! I'm excited because it's based in Amurrica but they've made it international!! :D
The dance I'm uploading with it is 'Try To Be A Girl' and I'm not sure yet.... maybe a Kpop cover but I'm not sure....

~~~
I did sort of mess up sometimes, but I did it all fine!
The first time a dog started running at me and barking but I still carried on dancing like a trooper!
Then the man took the dog away, but my camera man stopped recording...
So we did it again... :D
His camera skills aren't the best because he's all shaky ¬¬
However it's fine!
Heres a picture of me doing it! ....
It looks awesome right!? I edited it in photoshop but it looks cool either way!
The small building was on a football feild and some kids must of graffitied on the side of it, it was hidden so I wasn't too nervous.
My moves weren't as strong as they could have been, but it was my first time so meeeh.
I'm gonna attempt to find another place and record outside of any were theres space really. I would record again at home but my parents are in!
I will be uploading the audition soon! Which has this dance in...
KAYBYEGUYZ!
안녕!
